January 2018 Newsletter

A few words from Ms. Kerrie:

TapIntoYourGreatness.jpg

Happy 2018 from all of us at Forevermore! As a new year begins, we encourage you to tap into your greatness!

“We are what we repeatedly do, therefore greatness is not an act but a habit.” Aristotle

The new year is already off to a great start here at the studio.  Our dancers and teachers are working hard at developing wonderful dancing habits. We are enjoying being back in the classroom after our winter break and are looking forward to beginning June Recital choreography! We can’t wait to share more details about our 14th Annual Recital in the months to come. Please note that the Recital Participation Package will be charged on February 1st with monthly tuition.  Also beginning in February, your monthly studio newsletter will contain important June Recital details, including the show orders, ticket information, and more! While it is still very much winter in Chicago, our June Recital will be here before you know it!

There is a lot cooking behind the scenes at Forevermore!  We are busy working on summer class and camp offerings and getting ready for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Our Dance Ensemble is getting ready for their Winter Showcase and the busy competition season that is just around the corner.  Our Leadership Workshop Series has also begun, and rehearsals for our Spring Plays are underway.

We love having you as part of our studio family and are looking forward to showing you the fruits of our labor in June!

Always,

Ms. Kerrie

Inclement Weather Policy

inclement+weather+information.png

In the event of inclement weather, a message will be left on the studio answering machine by 2pm (8am for Saturday classes) regarding the status of classes. An email will also be sent to all families with classes that day and a notification alert will be texted.

Please note that we do not necessarily follow school closings, as roads are often cleared or weather conditions have improved by the time studio classes begin. Additionally, it is possible that schools could be in session, but we may need to cancel studio classes due to winter weather developing later in the day.

New Ballet Bun Kits

Ballet Bun Kits1.jpg

At Forevermore, we encourage our dancers to learn personal responsibility and develop an appreciation for ballet etiquette. Though our front desk will no longer be supplying extra hair ties, this handy hair kit is a great way to keep extra bobby pins and hair ties in your dance bag...you never know when you might need one! Each kit also comes with a special collectible button!

Man Dance 2018: Holding Out for a Hero!

Calling all heroes to participate in our 2018 Man Dance! The Man Dance is a special dance in the recital. The adults will perform a choreographed piece and the kids will join in towards the end. It’s always a favorite for performers and the audience!

While I dance I cannot judge, I cannot hate, I cannot separate myself from life. I can only be joyful and whole. This is why I dance.
