A few words from Ms. Kerrie:
Dear Forevermore Families,
It’s time for a new year and a new semester – a fresh start!
Although the regular dance season has been in session for months, the spring semester is like its own new beginning.
Forevermore Dance students will begin working on recital routines during the next couple of weeks, preparing for our 15th annual recital: “Then, Now, & Wow!” in June. While class time will continue to focus on building technique and skills, the element of performance now comes into play too.
Returning to class (or starting a new one) in January is the ideal time for any dancer to recalibrate. Even for the youngest preschooler, it’s a new chance to put on those “focus glasses” or to bounce a little higher during your “bunny hops!” For the hard-working second-grader, there’s the opportunity to polish your pirouette technique or gather the confidence to try freestyling in hip hop. And for the experienced teenager, it’s the clean slate you wanted – to push a little harder, sweat a little more, and reach for your goals.
Our Music Studio and Theatre Academy students are preparing for another performance on March 3. Magical things are happening over at 7511 W. Belmont…be sure to check out all of the new classes we are offering in 2019. Forevermore is indeed More Than Just Great Dancing…we have Music, Theatre, and Adult Fitness too!
We’re looking forward to an exciting 2019 and we can’t wait to leap into this fresh start with all of our students!

Please welcome our new teachers!
We are pleased to announce that Ms. Courtney and Ms. Alia are joining our faculty! Both of these lovely teachers come to us highly recommended by previous schools they’ve taught at, and we are excited for your dancers to be learning from each of them. Learn a little more about them by reading their bios here.
Ms. Sam will be moving on to explore some new opportunities as a Pilates instructor as well as pursuing performance opportunities. We thank her for her contributions and wish her well!
As always, we thank YOU, our amazing families, for your support of our programs!
We’re Going Green!
Forevermore is going green! As of January 7th, we are no longer providing disposable plastic bottles of water. To promote being kind to our environment, we are instead encouraging students to bring their own reusable water bottles. We are also selling reusable water bottles at the front desk for $4.
Additionally, in an effort to encourage healthy eating habits in the new year, we have also discontinued our snack bar behind the front desk. If you know you will need a snack in between classes, please try to remember to bring a healthy option from home. Here are some ideas to get you started: apples, cheese sticks, raisins, trail mix, or almonds!
PTO Embracing the Arts Showcase
The Embracing the Arts Showcase is an annual community-building event organized by our very own Forevermore PTO to celebrate Chicagoland's youth dancers and artists. Our Forevermore Dance Ensemble and our new pre-competitive team, the Forever Friends, will be performing at this event. Hope to see you there!
Annual Ensemble Concert
We hope you can join us for our annual Ensemble Concert on Sunday, January 27th at 3pm!
The Forevermore Dance Ensemble, an award-winning student performance company, will perform an eclectic program of solos, duets, and group dances to kick off their competition season. Also featuring some SPECIAL GUESTS: our Dance Expressions Tappers!
Tickets on sale later this week! Stay tuned!
Illinois Sales Tax Update
We wanted to update you regarding a change in the way we will be charging for dancewear moving forward. We are now required by the state of Illinois to charge a sales tax of 10.25% for all our merchandise. Your monthly tuition will remain unaffected. Thank you for your understanding!
Bracing for the cold weather…
Please be sure to remind our tweens and teens to bundle up after dance class. It’s important to put warm clothes on a sweaty body before going out in the chilly weather. On snowy days, please remember to leave wet snow boots at the front door so all our dancing feet can stay dry and warm.
In the event of inclement weather, a message will be left on the studio answering machine by 2pm (8am for Saturday classes) regarding the status of classes. An email will also be sent to all families with classes that day and a notification alert will be texted.
Please note that we do not necessarily follow school closings, as roads are often cleared or weather conditions have improved by the time studio classes begin. Additionally, it is possible that schools could be in session, but we may need to cancel studio classes due to winter weather developing later in the day.
