Dear Forevermore Families,

You’ve heard us talking about it, you know there’s a lot of excitement around it … but what exactly IS the recital?

Just as soccer players have tournaments, football players have games, and gymnasts have meets, dancers have performances!  More than a year’s worth of planning goes into our annual performance at Forevermore Dance & Theatre Arts, better known as the “Recital”!

The annual recital is a memorable opportunity for our students to showcase their talents onstage.  From learning the first eight-count of choreography in class to the final bows in the theater, the recital is definitely one of the most memorable highlights of a dancer’s year!  (Click here if you’re new to recital and missed our “Everything Recital Meeting”)

I also encourage our veteran Recital Families to reach out and help the newbies by sharing your expert words of wisdom.

Dance memories are special indeed.  When I was a child, I remember my mom’s first date with my step-dad was attending my dance recital. I’ve heard the story over and over again of how I, as the shortest dancer, was positioned at the end of the line, and as all the girls went down the line striking a perfectly synchronized pose with graceful long extended arms…little Kerrie turned the opposite direction and leaned forward, saying Ta-Dah with big “Jazz Hands”!  I’ve always been an innovator and able to put my own unique spin on it :)

In the spirit of our 15th Annual Recital theme “Then, Now & Wow!” I’m sharing a few throwback photos of myself for the first time EVER. Please be sure to share your own favorite Forevermore memories through the years with us…send us photos of your dancers from “Then” & “Now” and we’d love to add them to our slideshow at Recital to help celebrate and truly make it a “Wow” to remember!

With Love & Light,

Ms. Kerrie

Forevermore relies on the assistance of many dedicated volunteers to provide a high-quality performance experience for your children! We encourage families to become involved with our volunteer program and greatly appreciate your help.

CLASS PARENTS: Ensure that children are safe and accounted for when not onstage. Check for proper attire and escort children to and from the stage for their performances.

FRONT OF HOUSE: Assist with selling tickets and concessions and/or usher: checking tickets, distribute programs, open doors for intermission.

Click here to download a Volunteer Preference Form.

Forms will be accepted until April 30, as we would like to place as many  volunteers as possible before regular ticket sales begin!  All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

Thank you for your involvement with your child at Forevermore!
